The new plant will be near enough that upstate SC might get some spillover. Hopefully local suppliers will be able to benefit with new business. The rule of thumb I have heard is that suppliers need to be within a day's drive of the main facility.

None of the stories I've read have said if any decisions have been finalized on the possible separate Audi plant or an engine plant.
