Why do you say that? The County owns it, so if it were sold, it would have been publicized.

Is that the same building that the DMV is in? If so it was not county owned, owned by Khan out of Columbia, they own the landmark Building as well. I had heard yesterday that the DMV building sold.

No, the DMV is in 300 University Ridge (Khan Building).

DHHS is located at 301 University Ridge (County owned).

Were there long-term leases at the DMV building?  If so, then it is probably just one investor selling to another.  If the leases are coming up for renewal, then maybe the new owner will renovtae and/or re-position the property.  Any insight Btoy or anyone else?

The Health Department building needs to be replaced. Very bad off in there. Glad the County is moving forward with a replacement.

There not.  The building that sold is the DMV building. At least that is what I understand from the recent posts in this thread.

The perceived edges of downtown are absolutely expanding. What's nice is that for each project that pushes the urban boundaries further out, another project injects density and investment back into the heart of things. It's a nice and healthy organic development pattern to watch unfold.
