I remember that some lady bought it several years ago and had major plans (I remember a 2-page spread in GR Magazine). It sure would be nice to get someone to redevelop. Is the building cost prohibitive to restore? Just wondering why 2 groups have failed in the last year and a half.

I don't know about by July but in July, yes. A lot can get done in a few weeks. It looked like they had been working hard on the inside through-out the winter so they may be further along that what it looks like on the outside.

The building is looking sharp with the new awnings that were put up yesterday. They are having an open house in late July. Date yet to be set.

Searching for the rumoured bike shop (confirmed at 120 S. Division), I stopped in this place last week. Worker bees going wild. Landscapers digging up the parkway planter, white-boxing proceeding apace. June's got a few days to go...

Your posts need to come with a decoder ring...

"Confirmed" means that I found the address. The shop was stealth until the logo was applied to the window.

It's next door to the shuttered little market (sheriff's bizcard taped to the window) and two doors down from Music & Movement. Er, has bicycles in the front window.
