I got a kick out of this article... the Spartanburg Public Safety Department conducted a ped sting. The concept is self explanatory. An officer dressed in plain clothes walks across a crosswalk, when drivers don't stop, the uniformed officers issue a citation. Overall they ticketed 144 drivers for not obeying pedestrian laws. Good job Spartanburg :shades:

These are a good way to promote a more pedestrian friendly downtown, I would, however, like to see more ticketing for violating pedestrian laws on a regular basis.
