Mack Trucks to move Headquarters to Greensboro

High Paying jobs coming to Greensboro.!!! :thumbsup:

Mack Trucks is relocating its corporate headquarters and some support function to Greensboro and will be bring 493 jobs. Greensboro will now have both headquarters of Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks of North America. Both are competitors. With 493 jobs Mack will pay an average annual salary of more than $73,800 not including benefits.

The greatest thing is that Mack Trucks, FedEx and HondaJet will all come online about the same time. Thats a whole lot of jobs coming at the same time. 2009 and 2010 are going to be great years for Greensboro and hopefully this economic growth will be reflected in more downtown urban development.

Well there are two options. Either let the land between Greensboro and Winston-Salem be overtaken by sprawl or there should be controlled and well planned development in a project like Heart of the Triad. Developemnt is going to happen between the Triad cities whether we like it or not. Its coming. The question is what kind of development would you rather see?
