New opportunities abound in the employment arena with the arrival of a company that is expected to add 160 jobs in the next year. NEW Customer Service Cos Inc. announced it's decision Thursday to put a virtual contact center training site in Texarkana. NEW is the leading provider of extended service plans and product protection programs for many of the top retailers in the United States and provides customer care to more than 150 million consumers nationwide and has done so for over 25 years. The program begins with a fully paid, comprehensive, five week training program that will take place at Texarkana College followed by an ongoing training program and information technology support. After narrowing the search to 10 cities from a list of hundreds, Texarkana became the final choice.
