Downtown Apartments?

I'm going to be moving to Detroit for a job in a few months and I'm looking for an apartment downtown. Right now I'm looking at Washington Square, http://www.washingtonsquaredetroit.com/. Anyone know anything about this place?

Yes, it is a decent place and one of the few rentables in the Central Business District. It's former name is Trolley Plaza and was scruitinized a few years ago when a tenant died when the elevator he was in fell "backwards" and shot up to the top floor. It's under new ownership now and I think a lot of people "in the know" speculate that the new owners wanted to get in on the rebirth of the immediate area with the Book Cadillac coming online...in addition, the 3 casinos, Rock Financial HQ (next door), Pick Fort Shelby, Campus Martius, Cadillac Square, etc...

You might also want to look in Midtown, Corktown, Rivertown, or Lafayette Park. They are all part of the Greater Downtown Area.
