KCghettoboi 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2004 I hade to include KC, we have a few Post-Modern Art Deco buildings and structures. Like the Pylons,One Kansas City Place, TransAmerica building, Kemper Arena and a few others. Are there any other cities I left out? Vote on my other poll for gothic Art Deco buildings. Allan 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2004 Post Modern Art Deco....hmmm, that one's not in my dictionary of architecture! Anyway, my vote goes to Atlanta. I do not like the city, and in fact, it is one of my least favorite cities; however, it has a lot of awesome post modern skyscrapers.
teshadoh 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2004 Post modern art deco? Well, Atlanta has only 2 significant art deco structures, otherwise most of them are post modern. Am I the only person confused by this? It seems these two styles conflict with each other - I'll just have to guess you're refering to art deco. Miami Beach is the obvious winner. Allan 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2004 I am confused too. I took it as "post modern" since it is the subject in the main title, whereas "art deco" is in the subtitle area.
Ivory Tower 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2004 No contest, Atlanta . It lacks historical structures but sure made up for it with the postmoderns. Atlanta said no to glass boxes, got to give it props.
