WOW a CT city that actually plans ahead, and is looking to solve a problem before it becomes a real problem.

By noon Wednesday, only 176 spaces were empty, which means the city has to find 524 more spaces in that structure alone to live up to its parking agreement with Gateway Community College.

Of course, it has until the summer of 2012 to do that, but construction of at least one major garage, a 550 to 600-vehicle facility at Union Station, is needed before that to make the parking puzzle work, and that isn
