Why is there a Donkey in a boat on the side of the Sciences Library at Brown University?

I have no idea... but I had to take a picture of it.

OK, I had to take two.

I got out of work early today, and besides taking a picture of the donkey, I took a random walk around Providence, snapping photos along the way. Here's the results...

Top of the East Side bus tunnel at Thayer Street. I had planned to take more pictures of Thayer Street, but the batteries in my camera crapped out. Once I walked all the way through the interest part of the street to buy batteries, I didn't feel like walking back to take pictures. Another day I suppose.

This is the Financial Distrct skyline from a parking lot on Benefit Street. I held the camera up over a chainlink fence and randomly shot, this is what came out.

One of my favourite sets of buildings. Probably among the oldest in the city with the cities newest as a backdrop. The little cafe on the corner has great sandwiches.

The Turks Head Building, my favourite.

I think this little area infront of the Turks Head Building is actually called Turks Head Square, but I'm not really sure.

Here you can see the head of the Turk that gives the Turks Head Building it's name.

Brutal, Garrahy Court House. To be honest, I kinda like this building. Don't tell anyone!

A completely different kind of Court House.

More brutalism, this one I don't like that much.

The Cable Car, just in time. Went in there and bought the world's largest medium iced coffee.

Put down my iced coffee long enough for one last shot.

Is that building called the Superman building because of the 1950 TV series?

Supposedly, it is the building that Superman in the 50s series flies infront of. I've never seen any evidence that this is the case, I think it just looks like that building so it became known as that.
