Furman University and Greenville Womans College monument

At first I thought they were just stabilizing the hillside, but there is now a monument under construction in Falls Park on Furman College Way, at the end of the stone bridge.

This is nearly identical to the monument at the entry way of the Cliffs Cottage on the current Furman University campus.

The tapered columns at Furman have large craftsman-style lanterns on top of them ... I wonder if the ones in Falls Park will have those as well?
