Mc Kay Tower

Just looked out my windows at 9pm and the old, white light, igloo-shaped light thingy on the top of Mc Kay Tower is lit again. Now I haven't been back here in years and don't know when the last time it was lit, but it does look good, especially amongst all the new higher buildings around it now. It's missing a few bulbs, but then it always did! Something else to look up to!

I think that metal frame igloo has been there since the rest of the building was added too (all those upper floors) in the early 20th century.

At one point wasn't there talk of some additional lighting on the side on this building?
