Drive up West Broad Street now that the steel fro that entrance has gone up. There's going to be quite a presence that our Performing Arts Center holds on that street. We are in for such a treat with this remodel!

The perpendicular glass is going in! It should truly begin being closed in VERY soon (tomorrow, Friday?).

I think you're right. The addition takes the facade closer to Broad Street, which compliments the Main at Broad development quite well. Furthermore, I think the new site plan will alter how people perceive the two concert halls and the land around them...

A few photos of the Peace Center renovations from this past weekend:

I love the cover over the TD Pavilion. I'm also impressed with the stonework on the walls...definitely continues the Falls Park feel on to the Peace Center entrance plaza. Can't wait to return one day and see it all complete (fountains, lights, and all).

RT- It's great to have you on here posting in the Greenville Forum! Hope you and your family are doing well!

The Peace Center is looking absolutely great! And, I thought the same thing about the rock walls continuing the Falls Park feel. I didn't realize they had already poured some of the new concrete sidewalks and such. I haven't peeked in on the work recently. I've been too excited about the Washington Street projects getting under way, I guess. Well, that and the Riverwalk. But, your image of the Peace Center with the Courtyard in the background starts to speak at the density that this renovation adds. It's equally nice in person!

Garvin Design Group did a great job on this expansion design. I'm sure they were glad to land this project and get some high profile exposure in Greenville. I'm looking forward to the completed experience.

This will be great for intermissions during the shows. The current setup is very cramped.
