When CATS buses leave Mecklenburg, the other county is helping fund that particular route. In that case, Cabarrus (or Concord) is helping fund the routes. Similarly Gaston helps fund the Gastonia express routes, etc. (this is why there's no more express routes going to Mooresville, Iredell pulled funding)

Iredell: "JK (sort of)!"

New Mooresville bus that will connect with the 77X Norcross Park & Ride station off exit 25...

In The Charlotte Business Journal I got today, a big cover story about Haile Mining Company how they are looking  for a pay off of $2 billion in Gold in Lancaster County.

Guess no one told Iredell that CATS is soon opening a park and ride 3 miles closer to them off Exit 28.

I wonder if the park and ride in Cornelius (w. of I-77) will have direct runs into uptown?

I feel like it was almost hard to get the vision for downtown because they put so much emphasis on the damn tree renderings! Why? lol

At least not initially, due to Express Lanes construction.

I do hope that it is in the future plans. I would love to have at least one after hours express bus into Cornelius as well eventually. It would ease the pain of not getting rail service.

^Basically, the time saved on every current trip can be reinvested into either more trips (better frequency) or more express routes (direct service), once the completed express lanes improve peak speeds (especially north of 485).

Floor & Decor will open 75,000 sq ft store across from Concord Mills in the Pavillion at Kings Grant big box center taking the vacant Sports Authority and a 35K addition. My friends in Atlanta swear by this store for any kitchen or home remodeling due to their selection. Only other NC store in Greensboro. https://www.flooranddecor.com/   You heard it first and I got the info by talking to the contractors.

Yes! We heard this just last week while we up at the Greensboro location. Can't wait! They blow HD/Lowes out of the water with selection/quality/price. Super excited to have them so close!

Creative office space so called is popular even in Mooresville in this restored mill near downtown. Many Lowes vendors have offices there now. http://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2017/06/09/lowe-s-suppliers-find-home-in-huge-renovated.html?ana=e_ae_set1&s=scroll&ed=2017-06-09&u=oAaDx%2B74FoP4qOJ%2By4AU6dhJPpc&t=1497037782&j=78353821

627 acre solar farm coming to Cabarrus County north of Midland and south of Concord. This has to be the biggest solar farm within 50 miles of Charlotte except for the Apple solar farm in Catawba county but it may be smaller. http://www.independenttribune.com/news/solar-farm-comes-to-cabarrus/article_88c0cb58-4cb2-11e7-bdc8-1357981fef26.html

627 acres is quite a bit bigger than apples. I just drove past the 600+ acre solar farm in union county a few hours ago. It was just completed last week. It probably stretched a mile along the road as far as you could see.

where is that one along what road? I have seen many solar farms in eastern NC especially on the way to Wilmington and then I have seen the HUGE one at the California NV border along I-15.

Niner is probably talking about the one off South Rocky River Rd., SW of Monroe. I think this is it on Google Maps: Link

There's a 120 acre development that's proposed in downtown Mint Hill. Two-thirds of the development will be retail and office space and one-third will be residential and entertainment. Seems like old news, but I don't think it's been posted here yet.
