Most likely Charlotte Pipe & Foundry...  In addition to the Oakboro meeting on Tuesday, the Stanly County Commission has called for a special meeting Monday night to consider, and vote, on incentives for a large "heritage manufacturer"..

I would say it without a doubt Charlotte Pipe and Foundry as they already own land right outside of town of Oakboro along the railroad line.

Today's CBJ - "Local Manufacturer Fiberon reveals plans for $20M expansion in region" by Collin Huguley

Excerpt:  "Fiberon, which was founded in New London in 1997, said Thursday it plans to invest "more than $20 million" to grow its operations at its Stanly County manufacturing facility.

Fiberon produces composite decking, railing and fencing there, and is primed to add more jobs at that location."

This is going to be great for my favorite Mexican restaurant in downtown Oakboro the new Charlotte Pipe and Foundry plant.  ( https://www.losjacubesmexicanrestaurant.com/ )

Recap stories of the relocation of the plant from Charlotte to Oakboro

Charlotte Biz Journal

this is what we call a win win situation Charlotte gets a huge swath of land to redeveloped and rural Stanly county gets a high paying plant.  Their employees have been moving that way for years as I know of one last year that moved to nearby Locust who worked in the plant in Charlotte but he knew in the long run it would be there.

Oakboro is a great little town with a huge Independence Day parade and celebration.
