A developer eager to erect a proposed six-story, $27 million office building on the cusp of downtown got a little help Tuesday from the City Council.

The council unanimously voted to allow Tivest Real Estate to downsize the amount of parking that the city's zoning guidelines require at The Mid-Towne Office Tower.

The thing I find interesting is that they also raised the building height limit to 90 feet. So they agreed to cut the number of parking spaces required by half and allow for a larger building?
