Greensboro will build its first "green" library in northeast Greensboro on Phillips Ave. near the Woodmere Park and Kings Forest neighborhoods. Greensboro will seek a LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, certification for the library from the U.S. Green Building Council. The library will include a rainwater collection system. The project is really a renovation of the old Winn Dixie shopping complex.
