Greenville is one of 4 cities bidding to host the next Davis Cup matches. San Antonio, Birmingham, and Las Vegas are the others involved. San Antonio may be the favorite for the March 6-8 event. Winner to be announced Dec. 15.

Probably the Bi-Lo Center. Pretty standard for tennis tour matches and Davis Cup. Especially since the dates are the first week of March. That could be too cold for outdoor matches.

This would be HUGE! I'm Keeping my fingers crossed...The new President of the USTA lives in Greenville. On another tennis note, I hope the Tennis Facilities at the Kroc center are large enough to bring in some tennis tournaments. They say it will have a grand stand court hopefully it will seat a decent amount of people... I would love to have a Tennis venue here.

Not sure why yet, but Birmingham beat Greenville and San Antonio for the Davis cup round featuring Roger Federer and the Swiss team against the U.S. team. Oh well, it was nice to have been considered so intently. The press conference should be happening sometime this afternoon.
