Michigan State has just been announced as the winner of the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, or FRIB. This is a biggie, though I have no idea what is involved. The $500 million facility will mean jobs, good jobs, for mid-Michigan. Congratulations, State, and congratulations, Michigan.

It's great news. I think more from a "technological profile" standpoint, which you would hope would turn into economic goods and services. Can't beat 400 high paying jobs though.
