Unique Retailers in Greenville

goodbye

Recommended Posts

I thought this would be a good topic since it is very easy to get caught up in the nervous excitement from "national retailer talk" during our current economic troubles. We are likely to see new chain stores open up and possibly even a few close down within the next few months, but I want to look beyond this national trend and into the heart of the small shops in our area which offer things not found in the typical "big name" stores.

This thread idea came to mind after reading a fascinating article yesterday about Amanzi Tea, a unique business which opened its first store in Haywood Mall. The business now has a store open in New York City. The owners are from Zimbabwe - having fled from an oppressive life in Africa - and they are introducing teas from natural products only found in South Africa, in addition to other well-known black and herbal teas.
