Browns Creek Media Village

Has anyone seen this Browns Creek Media Village Website or know anything about it?

This looks incredible and would really put Nashville on the map in the entertainment area. I was just wondering if anyone knew how this idea is fairing in the current climate of slowdown.

About 25 years ago, a man by the name of Mooneyhan wanted to do that here, before he went bankrupt. There was talk of the old Neuhoff Meat plant area, then it would be part of Marathon Village, there has been many , many proposals for this and none have worked out because for many years the tax structure in Tennessee did not make it easy for outside film makers to come here.

I've read that the tax structure is looking better at the State level.

This proposed project already has had some great national exposure.

This development could bring an entirely new industry to town which would continue to solidify Nashville as an entertainment hub.

This was one of the proposals for the Fair Grounds area. Anyone heard any news on that subject? I really liked this idea and think it would be great for Nashville. I also think they could pull it off since we have a strong entertainment industry here already.
