Milford officials are applauding a locally based postage meter company's plans to move more than 150 jobs from California.

Officials at Neopost USA, which already employs 230 people at its corporate offices on Wheeler's Farms Road, will have all of its top management team in Milford when the move is completed.

A Neopost spokesman says the company has streamlined its organization and will now have all of the senior decision-makers based in Milford.

The maker of postage meters, folding and inserting machines and other mailing equipment is relocating jobs from Hayward, Calif., near San Francisco. (AP)
