Sixties Landamark Could Be Lost

The Century Plaza, a mid-sixties hotel with an exuberant arc shape, is in danger of being replaced by two towers and a garden (which is supposed to make everything better). While the building may not be my favorite, it represents a certain period of architecture and a period of history. It is worth keeping for these reasons alone, but will probably be allowed to hit the scrap heap. It's unfortunate that Los Angeles' history is being erased at such an alarming rate.
