Mississippi School for the Blind- Redevelopment Delayed...

Developer Ted Duckworth still has big plans for the former Mississippi School for the Blind in northwest Jackson. The 21 acre campus will be redeveloped into office and commercial space and may include about 200 apartments. Unfortunately, the economic slowdown will mean that the project may not get off the ground during 2009 as Duckworth had hoped. The article below mentions the probability that the office space may be built first, as the climate for retail space isn't what it was even a few months ago. In any event, this is still a project worth watching.
