Downtown Greensboro holding strong in a really poor economy

3 posts in this topic

Despite the big downturn in the economy, Downtown Greensboro seems to be doing pretty well. While developers have halted development plans for the time being, they have not been scrapped. Roy Carroll plans to purchase more land downtown in preparation for future growth in the center-city. The article says the "first phase" of Center Pointe will be open in January. This seems to indicate a second phase which means he could be talking about the second tower next to Center Pointe.

^To a bit more accurate, the article said the first phase of the Center Pointe tower will open in January. It seems as though the second phase will also concern the newly renovated tower.
