Applebee's in Newington

The Applebee's on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington was awful dark tonight. Did it close?

It appears that it actually has. I just visited their website and the Newington location is no longer listed on the locator. The closest one now is in Plainville.

This didn't even catch my attention. I was just at the Newington Wal Mart today and drove by the restaurant twice, and didn't even notice it was actually closed. I didn't see if the signage was taken down. The shades were down though. They usually aren't, even when the place is closed for the night.

Applebees wasn't my favorite restaurant anyway. The service at the Newington one anyway wasn't all that great. I'm just angry that yet another storefront on the Turnpike will be empty.

WOW!!! I can't believe they closed.... Especially in the Berlin Turnpike. I wasn't crazy about them either, but I hate to see another business close.
