A couple developments in the Berry Hill area, one supposedly already under construction:

Loft apartments on the way

Gale Loft Apartments:

Construction has begun on a 92-unit apartment building at 811 Gale Lane, near Eighth Avenue South.The project, named Gale Loft Apartments, will include a four-story building with three sides and a center courtyard. The loft-style units will feature 10-foot ceilings, hardwood floors and large oversized windows, among other amenities.

Gale Park:

In hopes of redeveloping portions of Gale Lane, White is also planning a mixed-use project, adjacent to the lofts. Gale Park will include 58 single-family cottages, 28 townhomes and retail.

So I think the Lofts apartments have been completed for a while now.

And now there is news that the other project, Gale Park, will finally begin also.

The community from Core Development will feature between 80 and 90 homes and townhouses incorporating several green designs, including cellulose insulation and radiant-barrier roofing.The project was given its master permit Friday, allowing construction on the homes to begin. Core founder Aaron White said the first development phase will feature 18 homes, 15 of which have been presold. The first homes are slated for completion this summer.

Prices in Gale Park begin just under $230,000 for a 1,200-square-foot home.
