Super Target in the Triad

8 posts in this topic

So I've noticed a lot of cities in North Carolina have a Super Target, including Charlotte, Raleigh, and Durham. Does anyone know if Winston-Salem or Greensboro plan on getting one and/or why there is not one yet?

There are no plans for a SuperTarget for the Triad anytime soon, sorry! I don't know the reasoning as to why the Triad doesn't have SuperTarget; the Triangle area has a lot of them in Wake County and 2 in Durham and the Charlotte area has 4 (Steele Creek, Northlake, Concord/Kannapolis, Mooresville).

You would think if Concord, Durham and Mooresville could support a Super Target, then they would have one in the triad.

There are rumors of Target/Home Depot coming to Peters Creek Pkwy in Winston-Salem... at this stage it is just rumors and I have no idea if Target did come if it would be a Super Target.

I dont know about a Super Target but I can definitely see a regular Target coming to Peter's Creek with all of the growth in the area. Anyway, I can't imagine an area of W-S (I can't speak for Gboro) that could use another Target. The only other area is Clemmons because there is already 1 in Kernersville and 2 in the city around major areas. I do know that Target and WalMart are trying to become more like grocery stores located in any neighborhood rather than just major shopping areas. So we shall see
