Warehouse Demolition on 5th Ave North

One rather large warehouse is currently being demolished, and it appears a couple buildings across the street are next in line. No idea what's replacing them, if anything.

In this street view, the building at right is under demolition, and the ones at left were surrounded by chainlink fences yesterday.

I really hope all of the warehouses are demolished. We need to replace them with low-rise urban residences.

I think that these buildings are now owned by the State of TN. If this is bordering Jefferson and 5th that is. A number of these buildings were bought for the future location of the new State Library and Archives and the new State Museum. I dont know where any of this stands with the state budget problems.

I dont think any othere dollars have been allocated yet but I may be wrong.
