What restaurants do you think are at risk of failing?

Don't know about Aquavina, but Ratcliffe reopened for lunch at the beginning of February. I wonder if, because of their localvore flavor, they limit winter hours due to a lack of local food.

So my wife and I went to Commonhouse Restaurant on Central Ave. this weekend and it was really good, had BBQ and the Shrimpburger and it was tasty. Went there for lunch yesterday and they were closed so I'm not sure of the hours yet. I always try to support the businesses in my hood when I can and this one deserves it.

Does anyone know anything about Aquavina or Ratcliffe on the Green, as far as their financial health? They both have been closed for lunch for around 3 months.

I was not aware that Doug Smith was doing videos now. Interesting enough this is a story about some local investors that want to start a new chicken franchise chain to be based in the Charlotte area. They opened the prototype restaurant in Cornelius a couple of weeks ago.

This particular building, the former Lake House Restaurant, was abandoned mostly because it is sitting on the property that was to be raised for the Village of Lake Norman.

I actually went to Tenders a few weeks ago. It's not bad and the service was pretty good. From what I hear they are using the spot for a few months before they tear down the building to make way for Augustalee.
