The renderings I've seen only indicate about a seven story courthouse. Are you sure it's to be fourteen?

My only hope is (assuming that Doormanpoet over there is right) that this Godawful design has been trashed, and replaced with something.... less Embasy Suites-esque.

I know of a property owner in the area that may be having some meetings with the GAO in reference to the courthouse. I do know too that the Nashville Fed CH is now in line in front of the new CH in Chattanooga.

The City Paper had an interesting article on the Courthouse and other development and its possible effect on the local economy along with a nice rendering of the Courthouse.

It looks better in this view, I must admit.

Finally able to load in picture of re-designed Federal Courthouse.

It has a newly designed facade with the mass broken up with staggered walls of windows and features significant asymmetry. The entrance now comes directly from Church Street.

This is a significant improvement in my opinion.
