First Measurable Snow of Winter '09

Much to my surprise (like last year around this time...), I got home this evening, and it began to snow! I thought it would just be a few flurries, but it turned out to be somewhat substantial in my area of Winston. I went out to take a drive in it towards South Winston where there was snowfall, but very little. Here are a few photos I got while I was in the car:

Oddly enough, it was 35 degrees, and the snow was sticking. Feel free to add any snow photos you may have gotten from other parts of the Triad! :)

There was no accumilation in Greensboro what so ever. It was a wierd snow track. Its like it was a donut and Greensboro was in the middle. Everywhere around Greensboro got between 1 and 3 inches of snow while the gate city got nothing. It kinda pissed me off because I wanted to come into work late LOL.

I was at IKEA tonight in Charlotte and started to head home at around 7 (the worst possible time). I cannot tell you how many wrecks I saw on the way back. Normally it takes me about an hour to get back from Charlotte, but, tonight, it took over 2 hours. This was mostly because the snow was pouring down, and you couldn't see the road. There were times that it was so heavy that the caravan on 85 was only going 10 mph. Until they plow, please avoid the roads if you can.
