SFO Traffic Increased in 2008

Good news for SFO. It was one of only three US Airports (Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson International & Charlotte's Douglas were the other two) that saw an increase in passengers in 2008. More than 37.4 million passengers went through SFO's gates in 2008, an increase of 4.8 percent over 2007, the airport said Thursday. The majority of the growth was in the domestic market, up 6.4 percent, largely due to expansion by Southwest and Virgin America, said SFO spokesman Mike McCarron. International traffic was essentially unchanged - up 0.7 percent.

This is a good sign. Transportation is where all the money comes from, so if your airport is growing your city is growing.

I was one of this passangers. same goes for Atlanta. I did not go through Charlotte though
