Nalcrest

National Geographic does a story on Nalcrest, Florida in their ZipCode section this month. Pretty weird. Anybody been there? I've never heard of it before. It's was built as a retirement center for Postal Carriers. Their union, the NALC, built it. You have to be a retired letter carrier to live there.

I never been there but it isn't too far from where I grew up in Winter Haven, FL. Nalcrest is about 15 or so miles, SE of Lake Wales, off of SR 60. There's two other small communities nearby called FedHaven and Indian Lakes Estates.

Is FedHaven a union retirement town as well?
