This doesn't have anything to do with CATS, but I found it an interesting graphic for those who link transit.

Number of silhouettes = amount of annual riders.

Length of trains = length of system in miles.

^It's interesting they only counted the Tokyo municipal subway. My guess would be there are as many or more riding the JR trains, alternative fixed rail systems, and the private train lines. Yokohama, part the metro, also runs a separate subway system.
