...thanks g-artist...the Yerba Buena Gardens at night UFO landing continues...it's wonderful there in the night with the crowds all gone to sleep & you feel totally alone for long moments...then...around the corner! someone not completely sane rushes out of the dark...

...in the wee hours of this rather desolate part of town and the munches overwhelming your gut and Jillian's closed, it's either Denny's or Mel's Drive-in...

The two-year old Mint Plaza is a special place, too, framed on three sides by the historic Mint, other interesting architecture, cafes like Blue Bottle Coffee and restaurants like Chez Papa. It's a great improvement over being the place where the 26Valencia Bus used to start its outbound route and wobbly winos spent the day sunning and the night snoring...
