The American Public Transit Association marketing group is meeting this week.

One very interesting idea. The San Fran transit district is being given control of parking. This is a great idea. They subway, buses, cable cars and now they run the street parking, public parking and meter maids. This gets parking out of the hands of the politicians and into the hands of transit professionals. There decisions are based on making the city streets flow better and controlling congestion, etc. The Perez's of the world use parking as political patronage and a source of corruption. This would be a great idea for Hartford.
