jthrasher 84 Report post Posted March 26, 2009 What quantity? 1 to 5 to 10, 100+, 1000+?
PolarBoy 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2009 I've had good results with Greystone. They did the Local First Coupon Books.

jthrasher 84 Report post Posted April 20, 2009 The reason I'm looking for a printing company is I want to start a business printing small photo books that caters to wedding photographers. There really isn't a company that prints the kind of books I want to produce and I don't want to work with a company that could start competing with what I'm trying to do. I just want to find a company that has the capability of printing what I need, but that doesn't already sell to the market I want to sell to. I hope that makes sense. Veloise 46 Report post Posted April 20, 2009 Kinko? They specialize in the small press run. Several binding styles, not just college syllabus spiral. HTH

Yankee Fan 1 Report post Posted April 20, 2009 Try Dickinson Press, located in the great city of Grand Rapids. http://dickinsonpress.com/

Paramaribo 17 Report post Posted April 20, 2009 I manage printing for living. Your best option for 5 to 50 copies is a digital one. Greystone is good option for your text pages but they are limited with binding. Noordyk Equip. can bind your books but their quality is all over the place. Neither would steal your business. I would combine the above with a healthy dose of babysitting. (Please consider the value of your time before proceeding!) Yankee Fan: Dickinson Press is a great company, but their strength is large quantity web printing. Think newspaper production but better quality.

Paramaribo 17 Report post Posted April 20, 2009 Thanks Paramaribo. babysitting is not something I want to have to do. Photographers are a very perfectionist group of people and quality had to be #1. I'm wondering if an overseas company might be my best bet for this. I have no idea where to even begin though.
jthrasher 84 Report post Posted April 20, 2009 Here are examples of exactly what I'm looking for. These books are 4"x5". I want to be able to print other sizes too, but not much bigger than this. The inner pages are thin press printed pages like you see in any coffee table style book. I'd use the company I get these printed at, but they don't sell them by themselves. You have to order a larger version first.
