The bank also plans to take a couple of floors of the downtown office building now being built by Tsakopoulos Investments at 500 Capitol Mall. The bank is carrying the construction loan for the building and will take office space and open a ground-floor branch in the high rise, partner Angelo G. Tsakopoulos said.

The developer is negotiating with Bank of the West to take the name of the 25-story building, which could open in early 2009.
