Waterbury Oxford Airport

Recommended Posts

I thought we has a post about this somewhere but can not find it.

So I will re post the first article about the expansion followed by todays article.

For some in the state, business is booming. In fact, Key Air is running out of room to park its customers' pricey properties at its Waterbury-Oxford Airport hangar, which houses 20 planes, jets and helicopters.

The company is looking to expand its facility, and Key Air officials say such an expansion could bring another $600 to $800 million worth of jets parked at the Waterbury-Oxford Airport. Key Air manages private aviation and charter services.

Supporters of a $33 million expansion of Waterbury-Oxford Airport have found a way to keep alive controversial legislation that would exempt the airport from stringent environmental review.

Language that would help the airport skirt the requirements of the Connecticut Environmental Policy Act is now buried in an unusual place
