Parhelion 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2009 It's sad to know that over 1 in 10 people are unemployed. It's looming over everyone's heads.
Allison Slater 328 Report post Posted June 27, 2009 Not to mention that the real unemployment is even higher than that. I'm not in that 11% because my last job was technically self-employment. I think I remember from Economics class that there are some other factors that make the official unemployment rate smaller than it really is, as well. But the interesting thing is it is a good way of look at things. Now we all would like to be at 95% employment but we cant always what we want.

RegalTDP 550 Report post Posted July 19, 2009 Not to be Debbie Downer here, but if you included part time/temp labor in that number, we would be closer to 22% in Michigan.
