Gusterfell didn't tell the full story on that photo. Bank of America (aka The Superman Building) is the tallest in the state, the only reason it's visible from that street now is because of demolition that took place to build the state's new tallest.

This one seems to be unusually popular in my Flickr (see my sig for a link to it). It's a picture of the Downtown Connector from the Varsity parking lot (we eat there usually when we are in Atlanta, so that's why a lot of my pics are from the areas around the Varsity).

Nice pics guys. I'm back from my trip and just thought I'd share a couple of pics. Sorry the first pic is a bit far out so you can't see much but anyway it's Albuquerque from the volcanoes west of the city. You can make out some of the city in the distance. In the background on the left is some of the Sandia Mtns and on the right just the edge of the Manzano Mtns. The second pic zooms in a bit on the downtown area. Not a very built up downtown area. I guess Albuquerque seems to follow the pattern a lot of other western cities have of growing out and not up. I'll have a few more to share in the upcoming days.

They're dormant. They're not exactly what you might expect. They aren't really mountains like you see in the background of the pics. They're five hills up on a mesa. They think they were last active around 2,000-3,000 years ago. I don't have many pics in Albuquerque. I spent most of my time more out in the rural areas of New Mexico.
