Thanks, and that I did, shot in sepia basking in the afternoon sun.

Awesome Downtown Houston shots! I can't even recognize some of the areas you've taken photos of, so much has changed since the 90's.

Very cool, man, I like it. It almost seems to have a bit of a fogginess to it, so I'd have never guessed it was in the afternoon sun. Seems like an early morning, hazy shot. The UV haze didn't kill this picture which is great.

Houston is an awesome city, and I had a nice time visiting. I had a long day driving 4 hours down there, driving ALL around there for hours, and driving 4 hours back home. I went solely for the purpose of taking photos and I was pleased with the results. I split my time today between the Galleria and downtown. I got the hell out of that city when it started raining. I did NOT want to be on those congested freeways in the rain.

By the way, the President wasn't in Houston today, was he? There was some major motorcade heading south on 59 through Houston. I followed it until a few miles south of downtown and then gave up on it. There were 2 black limos and a black SUV, and motorcycle cops who were swerving in and out of all the lanes to keep the traffic clear. I have no idea who that was for...

Nice shots Brian. That's cool you took a day-trip to "H"-Town. What great place to take urban pics. Between Downtown and Uptown. I like the greenery along the bayou in that city. In your second pic, it's cool the way they painted the trim of the old historic looking building neon green. I enjoyed those pics; I have been making it a habit to visit Houston once a year.
