Thanks, all! The view from there was spectacular, as you can see. It was bitterly cold, though. 25-ish degrees, with a stiff wind. If you look closely at my pics, that's ice along the riverbank in the foreground.

Here's another view from the same overlook, this time facing to the north of the previous views. The forested area at right is the extreme nothern tip of Manhattan Island:

It was a BEAUTIFUL day in Shreveport today! Even with perfectly clear skies and a bright sun, however, it never made it above the 40s. Despite the slight chill in the air (anything below 60 is cold to me) it was a great day to get out downtown and take some photos.

it was the end of a fence. The picture actually came out good, Originally I tried to get the road, the road was covered completely in those flowers from the tree, but it looked stupid. I ended up screwing around and it came out pretty good.

it's actually a rooftop. and the funny thing about it, is everyday people in the city streets would not know it was there unless they parked their car on the 10th floor of the parking garage I was on, or looked at google earth.
