"Mercy Housing and the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency hired the architecture firms KMD and Kodama Diseno to design in collaboration for two new towers. One tower will contain rental units for 140 low-income families in 12 stories, with retail on the first level, and the other 11-story tower will house 100 senior citizens. The project is located along Mission Street between 9th and 10th Streets. Andrea Montalbano created a mix of one, two and three bedroom flats from which the building massing of the family housing tower was generated. She worked to develop numerous elevation studies. The first phase of the project is set to begin construction some time in 2008." Source: Montalbano Architects
