The funny thing is that you have to wonder if some people forgot to look at the instructions as both were going to win in any case. There was two people running for two seats. hehe

We had a 19-year old running for the Grandville school board. He did manage to get 20% of the vote (not enough to win).

Well I did look at the GRPS election. It appears we may have some good turnout for them. 5 people running for 3 positions. Hopefully that will bring everybody out.

I don't think it would be so shocking if the millage did not go through - given everything that is going on with the economy and the use of people's tax money. If they don't see how it benefits them, they are going to vote no.

The Kalamazoo Transit looks like they got thier .4 mill increase passed by a large amount.

Wyoming just been posted. 1612 in favour, 2807 agianst with 6 not reported. Not a single precint voted for it. (((((((

So if this doesn't pass.. is the Silver Line just going to be a dream, or does ITP have some sort of backup plan? Also considering the large part was a renewal, does this mean we'll see a reduction in services?

The 2007 Rapid millage passed with 58%, so there is some hope left for a slim passage. I was dismayed by the Kentwood results because they voted 55% in favor in 2007. However, I also read that turnout in Kentwood might have been low, so there's hope if GR turnout is high.

I dont think we will see a reduction in services. If anything you will see the ITP come back for just a renewel. It fails the ITP may be able to get an extension but I doubt the feds will do so considering how badly it has failed in every city except for EGR.

I remember watching the live results for the presidential election last November. It looked like McCain was going to dominate Kent County, until the City of GR posted its results and Obama ended up winning.

I think we have a good chance right now.

Speaking about Wyoming. Of the 4 precints in the pan handle. The one by Metro Health voted the most agianst it in the pan handle. The ones closer to Ottawa voted a little more in favour.

The bus is always empty by the time it reaches Metro Health, so the "empty bus" argument was likely bought up by a lot of people there.

There's an update on Mlive, stating that at 9:40 Dave Bulkowski had some of the results from Grand Rapids. It was up 8,205 to 7,243 with 30 precincts still out.

It looks like all of the those A,B,C were combined. So there is no outstanding precints in the 5 cities posted
