Festival 2009

Listening to a report from the Festival treasurer (on WGVU). Sounds like several major sponsors were unable to assist this year, but he says the public should not notice any difference.

Surely I've suggested this before...the East Lansing Folk Festival includes a "bucket brigade," volunteers who visit every venue and performance, and solicit donations. Contributors are rewarded with a sticker. (Folks not sporting a sticker get some peer pressure.)

Hey, look, other festivals do the same.

Major corporations might not be able to fund at the same levels, but perhaps attendees can kick in.
