It is 634ft tall... Made to be 2 feet taller than One Kansas City Place, which was made to be 2 feet taller than the Arch.

I've seen the skyline before but never have I seen a picture that made it look that big! I had no idea downtown was that big! Nice photos!

While Omaha doesn't have a great number of skyscrapers, its downtown definately looks urban. Nice pics!

Omaha has been a very pleasant surprise to me. In the last 12 months (or so) I have seen so many nice photos of DT Omaha that I am anxious to see the city in person. Great photos, but I can't wait to see more Like Heckles said, DT Omaha may not have a large number of skyscrapers, but it certainly appears to have nice urban feel to it. Maybe we can see some street level pics...

What is that tower that is being built? I can see the crane in the last two photos.

Hi... that tower is built and fully occupied today.

It is the Union Pacific Center... UP's new corporate headquarters building. Quite the massive 'cube' with 1.2 million square feet... but it does top 300 feet in height (something we desperately need downtown). It has a pretty impressive atrium. Some have likened the building to the new Compuware building in downtown Detroit.

It has virtually no street presence unfortunately (although the cafeteria, company shop are open to the public... why they didn't open it up to the street is beyond me).

They architects did cite an interest in breaking up the 'scale' of the building with it's varying use of vertical/horizontal lines. It's not bad.

Omaha looks like maybe it got passed over in favour of larger neighbours (Chicago, Denver) mid century and was able to maintain most of it's historic buildings. Lack of pressure for growth = lack of urban "renewal."

Providence has a largely intact historic core due to not being economically capable of carrying out it's mid-century renewal schemes.

I'd never seen Omaha before. Not sure if it's quite worth the visit, but in the future as things start to develop more I'll end up there. Someday...

I have never seen pictures of Omaha either. It seems like a great town. How many stories is the tallest building? It seems to dwarf everything around it.

The First National Center is 45 floors... 634 feet... designed to top KC's One Kansas City Place by a couple of feet.

Now the skyline just needs a few more 300-400 footers.

That is a pretty decent sized skyscraper. They could use some more tall buildings. I think that it would look nice. Thanks!
