This is fabulous news.

Now...I'm hoping the owner bucks the trend of the usual bike shops by paying attention and catering to city/commuting/non-spandex wearing/upright-riding citizens.

In a nutshell: people who ride to get there; not for sport.

It's open! World championship paint stripes are dry, the orange ribbon successfully snipped, quite a few T-shirts sold. Stop by and pick up a little plastic game piece bike (donated by yrs truly). Photos to follow.

Inventory includes an interesting selection of used bikes and some fancy new rims (I am coveting the pastel polka-dot ones). Recycled messenger bags (the ones made from event banners and boat sails), cycling caps, Koozies logo'ed with Velo City (hey, they are in Holland!).

Rizzo, there's barely enough room to swing a cat or turn a tandem around. Tiny little storefront.
