Regional water authority

Water deal

Since Norfolk already has water deals with Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Ilse of Wight.......

Is a regional water authority the next step?

Wouldn't a water deal help Hampton and NN, and even WBurg?

With an authority that serves the whole region, eventually there could be a de-salination plant from the ocean!

They've already got a sanitary sewer authority for the region, being HRSD. It would only make sense that eventually the other public utility (water) would be under some regional jurisdiction as well.

Newport News has actually got a couple sizable reservoirs so I'm sure they do share with Hampton. AFter growing up as a kid in northern Minnesota, I still find it amusing that VB pumps its water in from like 100 miles away at Lake Gaston.
